Here’s what homelessness looks like in rural Waterloo Region

Waterloo Region’s rural townships are beginning to see homeless people. There aren’t any shelters, so they live in their cars, sleep on a friend’s sofa, or pitch a tent where they hope they won’t be seen. Trisha Robinson, executive director of the Wilmot Famiy Resource Centre, describes how she helps people to live in their vehicles.
