Zehr Insurance donates to LYNC!

LYNC is immensely grateful to have received a generous gift in the amount of $150,000 towards the Mill Block Community. Zehr Insurance sees affordable housing as a vital necessity for helping individuals who deserve a chance to live and contribute locally. They believe that accessible housing solutions allow people to remain in New Hamburg, fostering a self-sufficient and vibrant community. A huge “Thank you” to this wonderful local business for their support.
Announcement: Construction Manager for the Mill Block awarded!
LYNC released its RFP for the position of Construction Manager for the Mill Block development in June 2024. 19 companies showed strong interest by attending the mandatory site visit and 10 of these companies applied for the position of CM. We are pleased that a number of local companies took part in this process with LYNC and our consulting firm, SHS. The LYNC Board of Directors is happy to announce that Nith Valley Construction of New Hamburg was the number one applicant based on the evaluation matrix and was awarded the role of Construction Manager for the Mill Block.
Nith Valley Construction has an outstanding reputation in collaborating with owners, non-profits, consultants and wide array of sub trades. Their portfolio includes many affordable and social housing projects such as House of Friendship, St. Marks Church and Thresholds Homes and Supports. In addition, many of the beautiful buildings located in our community such as The Imperial and Sobeys Plaza have been constructed by Nith Valley Construction.
Not only do they have experience in the restoration of historic buildings, but they also have a commitment to environmental responsibility by incorporating green building techniques into their construction. We are excited to work together with Nith Valley construction to see the Mill Block become a reality.
